The committee on community service reported 1,103,752 hours of volunteer service at the rate of $19.51 per hour with IRTA members contributing in excess of $21.5 million dollars to the citizens of Indiana.

Scholarships for future Teachers: In May, the IRTA Foundation awarded eight $1,500 scholarships to Indiana college students who plan to became teachers.
